KIA KAHA is a project by International Artist Kahu, exploring the intricacies of mental health and the destruction this battle brings to the lives of our Kiwi brothers and sisters.

 

In New Zealand, men’s suicide rates are more than 3 times that of women, with 1 in 8 kiwi men experiencing extreme depression in their lifetime.

 

Kahu aims to break down the stigma with other men in his audience and beyond, even on the days when sharing his own struggles is the hardest thing to do, all to remind you that It Ain’t Weak To Speak. The toughest thing you can do? Talk.
